To celebrateWORK. In Wisconsin Agriculture.
‘Markers of work. play. living.
Some romantic. Some smelly. (equally, memorable)
To show us our individual worth in a life.
Where a balanced relationship with the earth allows for a lasting relationship with family.
Imagination:
Often leads to possibilities…
When we explore beyond the horizon.
A mere DirtKeeper?!
They are home.
In the dirt. Working with its richness.
Where work tires the body yet nurtures the soul.
A celebration of WORK to inspire generationNEXT to live. beautifully.’

A Life. From dirt. is a traveling show in Wisconsin thanks to presenting sponsor, Midwest Farm Report. Owned by the Rountree Gallery, a non-profit in Platteville, Wisconsin. The show will be shared and logistically supported volunteers to bring a Celebration of Work…in Wisconsin Ag to your community.
We are eager to share it with other Wisconsin Ag enthusiast like: Wisconsin Farm Technology Days, Farm Wisconsin Discovery Center, Wisconsin FFA, Wisconsin 4-H, Wisconsin SkillsUSA, the Wisconsin Association of Ag Educators, Country Fairs, Career Centers and more.
a life. from dirt. by Pete Curran
Pete’s Ag story started at 55 years old, as a seed salesman where he volunteered on the fundraising committee of the 2019 Wisconsin Farm Technology Days. He was a concept creater of Ag Career Day ’19, that featured the first-ever interactive Career Scavenger Hunt, complete with cow ear tags, RFID buttons and Cow Monitoring Wands. Students were given a Clue Sheet, and were asked to answer a Career Takeaway question at each scavenger hunt stops to earn their scan of the cow monitor wand.
